The "National Power Company "Ukrenergo" put into operation the overhead high-voltage line (OHL) 750 kV "Rivne NPP - SS Kyivska".
"Please put into operation OHL 750 kV "Rivne NPP – SS Kyivska, – said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during official launch of the OHL.
This OHL will make it possible to increase by 700 MW electric power for Kyiv load center, production of which will provide Rivne nuclear power plant, and this, in turn, will reduce the amount of heat generation.
Construction of the OHL lasted for 4 years. The OHL length is 353 km, of which 109 km were performed by SOYUZ Corporation.
Financing construction of the OHL 750 kV "Rivne NPP – SS Kyivska" was carried out at the expense of own funds of the SE "NPC "Ukrenergo", as well as through loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.
